Introduction

Instructor: Detective Kent Stoy To familiarize officers with recent legislative changes and court cases that may have an impact on Use of Force decisions. Ultimately the goal of this course of instruction is to help the student to understand where he stands in regards to the decisions he makes regarding his use of force decisions that may ultimately preserve his life or the life of another at the same time not exceeding his legal authority. (16 hours)

Location & Times

  • Thursday & Friday , Nov 14th & 15th – 8 am to 5 pm daily  OR;
  • Monday & Tuesday, Nov 25th & 26th – 8 am to 5 pm daily
  • Main Campus, Criminal Justice Building, Academy Classroom (SC-106)
