Overview

Introduction

Effective January 1, 2014, this training is now a licensing course required of all new telecommunication specialists.  The course must be completed within one year of hire by an agency.  Participants must meet state minimum standards set forth by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), pass the course, and pass the TCOLE state exam in order to become licensed.

It is required to complete the TCIC/TLETS Full Access course (4802) and the NIMS classes before this class.  NIMS 100 and 200 classes can be completed through FEMA on-line at:

http://www.training.fema.gov/IS/NIMS.aspx

Participants will be eligible to sit for the TCOLE Telecommunicators Licensing Examination at a TCOLE approved testing site upon successful completion of the online course.

This course meets TCOLE requirements for Basic Telecommunicator Course #1080.
