Overview

Introduction:

This program prepares you to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical aspects of a medical office. Upon completion, you will be prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination, Phlebotomy, and EKG Certification test.

Tuition:

  • $2800
  • Tuition includes textbooks, materials, and BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Exam fees are not included in tuition cost.

Entry Requirements

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must provide proof of HS Diploma, GED or college transcript
  • Proof of immunizations required
  • Must pass criminal background check

Completed immunizations:

  • Tuberculosis (TB), Proof of either (within the past year):
    • a negative PPD skin test, or
    • a negative chest x-ray if skin test is positive or can not be taken
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox), Proof of either:
    • a physician documented history of the disease, or
    • a documentation of varicella immunization
    • or a titer test confirming immunity
  • Hepatitis B series, Proof of either:
    • a complete three-injection series of Hepatitis B vaccinations, or
    • a titer test confirming immunity (positive reading)
  • MMR series, Proof of either:
    • a complete two-injection series of MMR vaccinations, or
    • a titer test confirming immunity (positive reading)
  • Diphtheria Tetanus (within past 10 years)
Notes: A background check including criminal history will be done prior to start of class.  All monies will be refunded if you are ineligible to attend.
